High-Volume Excavation & Earthmoving for Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Projects
ETC Contracting & Consultants delivers bulk earthworks and large-scale excavation services across the UK, supporting commercial developments, infrastructure schemes, utilities and site-enabling works. Operating our own fleet of 3 to 50 tonne excavators, D6 dozers and articulated dumpers, we manage high-volume cut and fill, mass excavation, grading and engineered compaction.
Working directly with developers, principal contractors and local authorities, we deliver bulk earthworks packages aligned to programme requirements, tolerance specifications and environmental obligations, in full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
What Our Bulk Earthworks Service Covers
Mass Excavation:
• Large-scale cut and fill operations for commercial developments, infrastructure schemes, and site-enabling works. We deploy 30 to 50-tonne excavators for high-output mass excavation, coordinated with articulated dumpers for continuous material removal.
Grading & Compaction:
• Precision grading and compaction to formation level using D6 dozers with GPS guidance capability. We achieve accurate sub-base levels on the first pass, reducing material waste and programme time.
Muck Away & Haulage:
• High-volume spoil removal and material haulage using our own articulated dump trucks. All waste is handled in compliance with Environment Agency duty of care requirements, with full waste transfer documentation provided.
Cut & Fill Operations:
• Balanced cut and fill earthworks managed to minimise imported and exported material. We assess site conditions, material suitability, and compaction requirements to optimise earthworks programmes.
Foundation & Drainage Excavation:
• Precise excavation for foundations, drainage runs, and service corridors. Our mini and midi excavator fleet handles tight-access and precision work alongside large-scale earthmoving operations.
Earthworks Output & Fleet Capacity
Our fleet configuration allows coordinated high-output excavation and material movement across large-scale infrastructure and commercial sites. By deploying multiple excavators, articulated dumpers and dozers in structured phases, we maintain daily production targets and minimise downtime.
Supervisors monitor output, compaction levels and formation accuracy to ensure earthworks progress remains aligned with construction programmes.
